Hi, I'm Liz! After a busy career in retail and sales, I founded Broadland Housekeeping in 2017 to offer a traditional style domestic cleaning and housekeeping service with a modern approach, specifically tailored to suit your individual needs. I work independently and do not use staff or sub-contractors. This means unlike some agencies and franchises, I am able to offer a dedicated and consistent boutique service to my clients, with a familiar and friendly face that you can get to know and trust.

A spotless, fresh home that you can relax in and enjoy is an investment, not an expense. Whether you have a busy family home, work full-time, run your own business, are struggling to keep on top of your domestic chores or would rather not spend your free-time doing housework, I'm here to help. My training and background is in cleaning luxury 5-star holiday accommodation and this is reflected in the quality of my work and the premium service I provide.

I care for a wide variety of properties including new builds, apartments, townhouses, cottages, barn conversions, large country houses, manor houses, listed properties, farmhouses, caravans, houseboats and holiday lets. I am DBS checked, fully insured and committed to the highest standards of health and safety. My service is child and pet friendly and I can provide personal references from long term clients. I also hold a British Cleaning Certification Award (BCCA) qualification and am COSHH trained, as well as first aid/CPR trained. Beautiful bath clean from this week. Baths are notoriously difficult to keep clean, especially when you have a family. I don't have kids but even as someone without children, I admit I often find it hard to find the time and motivation to clean my own house after work. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to keep your house clean, be a parent AND work full time while trying to juggle having a life in between. But you don't need to think about that when you have a cleaner! I love helping my clients take care of their homes so they can spend their precious time doing the things they love 💝

Perfectionist standards. I want to make your home cleaner than it's ever been before! Changing and making beds is a service I offer. Just strip your bed first and leave out a fresh set of bedding for me and I will make it up for you (but make sure that the bedding you leave out is the right size so your bed doesn't end up looking like a hot mess) 😉 In other news and after much deliberation, I've decided that I'm going to invest in training to learn how to clean ovens to a professional standard, so I can offer that service in the future!

Happy Saturday! So I'm thinking that there must be something in the water at the moment, as I've had several enquiries recently that have been absurd and downright rude 🤐 But I've also had lots of lovely people enquire too though, so thank you if you are one of them 🤗 After a long working week, I'm currently crashed out on the sofa! Like I always say, I bring my A-game to every single job and push myself to my physical limits. You don't need the gym when you're one of the best cleaners in North Norfolk!

A common question I get asked is the difference between a cleaning service and a housekeeping service. Though the terms are often used interchangeably, they actually refer to two distinct services. When you hire a cleaning service, their main job is to make your home spotless and polished. A housekeeping service on the other hand, includes cleaning, but also covers other tasks like laundry, dishwashing, folding clothes and ironing. Housekeepers typically work more frequently than cleaners and their services tend to be more expensive. I offer both cleaning and housekeeping services to cater to my clients needs and budgets.

To illustrate the difference, think of your experience in a hotel. A maid may straighten up your room and neaten your things, but they won't put items away or pack your suitcase. A cleaner focuses on making your home look and feel pristine, while a housekeeper goes beyond that by helping to manage your household. Both services are essential, and which one suits you depends on your specific needs. A skilled housekeeper will usually have an in-depth discussion with the homeowner to understand their requirements and importantly, to learn where everything belongs! A cleaner however, is too busy moving around to even hold a cup, let alone wash one.

When hiring a cleaning service, many companies, including mine, will kindly ask you to tidy up surfaces and floors before the cleaner arrives. This is because our job is to make your home look immaculate, even in those spots you wouldn't think to clean. Even if your home looks neat beforehand, I guarantee that after we're done, we'll be sweaty and exhausted! Proper cleaning doesn't leave time for housekeeping tasks, so I recommend clients who want extra housekeeping to book longer, more frequent sessions.

In short - a cleaner will clean and neaten things, but never tidy away and organise 🧽✨

I was recently asked if I charge extra for deep cleans or one-off cleans. The answer to that is no - I don't charge a confusing excess for any service. I charge a set hourly rate and everything is included in that price. I can advise you as to how long I feel a clean will take. With that being said, please keep in mind that cleaning is a physical task and no matter how skilled you are, it takes time and I don't cut corners. If you've been quoted less time by another cleaner, it's simply because their standards are lower. I clean to hotel standard, nothing less 🧽✨

God I love a bathroom clean ✨ I'm currently doing my April rota and have just realised it's Easter next month and there are two bank holidays. I worked in retail from the age of 16 and have been cleaning for nearly 10 years now so bank holidays mean NOTHING to me, other than the traffic is worse than usual! I don't close on bank holidays or school holidays. I suppose that's a perk of having a cleaning fairy who has a dog for a child 🤣

As you know, I don't post many before and after photos as my clients can feel uncomfortable about it and that's not what I'm about! But tonight I CAN show you a before and after! How thrilling! Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between! Using this as proof that I don't just have a quick wipe around of these nice big houses. It's because I work so hard that the pictures come out so good 🙆🏻‍♀️

I don't mean to be dramatic, but this is my dream floor and I love it to death. I used my favourite almond wood floor cleaner which almost smells good enough to drink (especially when I am extra peckish from all the scrubbing). I have absolutely crashed today. I have so much to do but after vacuuming my own house, I feel like a zombie so I'm taking it easy, getting everything ready for tomorrow and having an early night! 😴

When it's sunny out, what better way to celebrate than to etch a sunbeam onto your favourite velvet upholstery with the vacuum? I don't want answers to that because there are at least 1000 other things and most of them don't involve vacuums but still! Isn't it pretty?! If the sunshine continues, it will soon be time to hit the garden for my annual "what the hell has happened since September" sort out. I am definitely green fingered when it comes to cleaning, but put me in a garden and I don't have a single clue what I'm doing 🙆🏻‍♀️

There's a lot going on in the background of my little business at the moment and I am getting so many enquiries! I've always preferred to stay solo so I can concentrate on providing a consistent, quality service which is why I always have a waiting list. I could just grow a team overnight and send them on their merry way after a week of shadowing and basic training and take every enquiry that comes my way, but that's not how I do things here. So I appreciate massively that I am so highly recommended and people feel I am worth waiting for 🧽✨

Hi guys! Just a little update (a general one, no big announcement). I am currently fully booked for weekly and fortnightly cleans but my waiting list is open. I will also be opening my waiting list this week for monthly cleans! I've had quite a few enquiries over the last few days so I'll be replying to all messages this evening. In the meantime, I'm just about to vacuum my house (after rearranging the entire living room because I apparently need more hobbies) and then I'm going to sit down and catch up on some admin whilst my veggies are roasting. All very, very exciting stuff I know 🧙‍♀️

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! I've been procrastinating from cleaning my own house today by doing my accounts and going for a lovely walk with my brother. I have no other plans this weekend, other than just sitting in my pjs relaxing but I find that so difficult. I need to plug in my Playstation as that absolutely hooks me lol. I do have paperwork to catch up on but I'm not giving myself a deadline as this is technically my only time off in the week, so it will be sent out when it's sent out 🥰

Little one from a fortnightly clean today 🧽✨

When I started my business 8 years ago, I deliberately left anything eco out of my branding, because I wanted to attract clientele who may not be convinced that eco friendly cleaning is a viable alternative. I wanted to show people that you CAN put down the bleach and get absolutely gorgeous results, and not only protect yourselves and loved ones today, but without sacrificing our future too. I've never charged extra for my 'niche' as I don't believe it is a niche. Greenwashing can die a death in my opinion. I start with excellent cleaning and it's just a bonus that I happen to do it using environmentally friendly and vegan products 🌿

I am fully booked now until April! If you want to get on my waiting list or my cancellations list, please go ahead! Things change but for now, I am at my limit. If you think you would like me to clean for you in 2025, if you're someone who's interested in a cleaning service, you're one of my clients who I clean for once in a blue moon, or someone who's suspended their cleaning because of work on their home or whatever else, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
